A dedicated, co-created space for MHPSS providers to connect, reflect, and share expertise and resources
Discussions between mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) providers about the specialized knowledge and skills required to provide effective, cross-cultural, trauma-informed services to refugees and other newcomers
Who should join:
Staff whose roles primarily consist of providing MHPSS services, including mental health caseworkers, counselors, psychologists, supervisors, and program managers
CoP members each co-facilitate one session annually on a topic selected by the community
Co-facilitators do not need to be experts on the chosen topic nor prepare a formal presentation; they will collaborate with other facilitators to frame the conversation, including discussion questions and activities. This model ensures the community is peer-led and maximizes the sharing of ideas and resources responsive to the needs and expertise of participating members
When we meet:
Fourth Wednesday of each month from 12–1 PM ET
Mental Health & Psychosocial Support Community of Practice
