A consistent, peer-driven space to connect, reflect on challenges, and share approaches that strengthen newcomer well-being, learning, and belonging

Membership is open to staff from resettlement agencies, school districts, and community-based organizations serving ORR-eligible populations, including those working in Refugee School Impact (RSI) and Refugee Youth Mentoring (RYM) programs.

Practical skills needed in school, community, and foster care contexts


Who should join:

Staff from resettlement agencies, school districts, and community-based organizations serving ORR-eligible populations, including those working in Refugee School Impact (RSI) and Refugee Youth Mentoring (RYM) programs

Professionals who support newcomer children, teens, families, and youth who are in the URM program

Roles that require a unique blend of cross-cultural, educational, and child-welfare expertise – no formal training required

Members each co-facilitate one session annually

Note: This CoP includes support for youth who participate in the Unaccompanied Refugee Minors (URM) program. It does not focus on Unaccompanied Children (UCs). For training and technical assistance on Unaccompanied Children, please see USCRI
